Belleair Florida is a small town, about 2.5 square miles, bordered by Clearwater to the North, and Belleair Bluffs to the South. With a population of around 4,000, Belleair is primarily a residential community. Shopping, restaurants, and services are conveniently available in adjacent Belleair Bluffs, Clearwater, and Largo.
The town boasts a major historic landmark, the (now closed) Belleview Biltmore Hotel, which opened in 1897; and three golf courses. According to the town’s website, Belleair is "a busy, growing community with a unique sense of civic pride."
The town has been designated a "Tree City USA" and has also been working to achieve "green city" designation, based on the Florida Green City Local Government Standard. The "Green City" designation focuses on improving environmental performance through energy, air, water, land, waste, and community awareness.
With such a forward thinking mentality, Belleair is a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family.
