Belleair Bluffs is a small community on the mainland, adjacent to the Intracoastal Waterway. West Bay Drive, cutting East/West through the city, is a main access road across the Intracoastal via the Belleair Beach Causeway and bridge to the towns of Sand Key (Clearwater), Belleair Beach, Belleair Shores, and the northern portions of Indian Rocks Beach. Belleair Bluffs is just South of the city of Belleair, and adjacent to Largo on the East.
Pinellas County maintains a boat launch on the Northside of the causeway providing easy access to the Intracoastal and the Gulf of Mexico. The boat launch area also includes a pet-friendly beach.
